Bernstein Shur Property Tax and Valuation Team Updates Leading Treatise on Maine Property Tax
Attorneys Zack Brandwein, Patrick Marass, and N. Joel Moser recently updated the Maine Chapter of the America Bar Association’s (ABA) Property Tax Deskbook.
The Property Tax Deskbook is a premier guide for taxpayers and tax professionals, providing comprehensive, reliable information about the property tax laws in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Each state’s chapter sets out the most important principles and positions in that state with citations to the pertinent statutes, regulations, and case law. The updated 2022 Edition is now complete and available prior to the April 1, 2023 assessment process.
“Property tax is a complex and often misunderstood financial driver for companies, individuals, and local governments,” explains Joel. “The Property Tax Deskbook’s Maine Chapter helps demystify the assessment system and provides taxpayers and governments with a user-friendly and updated go-to manual.”
