Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with her.

As a litigator, Eviana fosters clear communication with her clients while maintaining a balanced and constructive manner throughout the litigation process. She spent years representing the City of New York in federal court, where she defended the city in federal civil rights lawsuits. She not only has a strong understanding of municipal liability and proficiency in civil procedure and trial practice, she’s in her element with settlement negotiations and motion practice.

Although litigation can be stressful, Eviana prides herself on maintaining positive working relationships with both clients and adversaries, leading to efficient resolution of cases—so clients can get back on track.

Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Eviana spent three years litigating as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department. Prior to that, she interned in the Juvenile Rights Practice of The Legal Aid Society in the Bronx. She was also an extern for the Honorable Geoffrey W. Crawford of the US District Court for the District of Vermont, and spent a year clerking for the Honorable Jeffrey L. Hjelm of the Maine Supreme Court.

In her former life, Eviana was:

  • Law clerk for the Hon. Jeffrey L. Hjelm, Maine Supreme Judicial Court
  • Assistant Corporation Counsel, Special Federal Litigation Division, for the New York City Law Department
  • Judicial extern for the Hon. Geoffrey W. Crawford, United States District Court for the District of Vermont
  • Legal intern for the Legal Aid Society
  • Director of Human Resources for Luke’s Lobster, a growing Maine-based restaurant company

When Eviana isn’t working, she is…

Running, skiing, taking her pup to a beach or brewery, and slowly renovating her fixer-upper home.
