Bernstein Shur Shareholder Ned Sackman Appointed to New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners

Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH (December 16th, 2015) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, announced that shareholder Edward “Ned” J. Sackman was recently appointed to the New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners, as a replacement for the recently retired Hugh Lee after his long tenure. Sackman will be serving the remaining portion of a three year term that expires at the beginning of November of 2018.

Joining the firm in 2009, Sackman largely focuses on non-competition agreements and related litigation, and also has a wealth of litigation experience involving intellectual property, corporate espionage and trade secrets. He has represented software and medical device companies, scientists, inventors, as well as a beverage brand pursuing infringement litigation on their intellectual property. He was named a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star 2013-2015, and currently serves on the New Hampshire Federal Courts Advisory Committee and as the chair of the Federal Practice Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association. Sackman is also committed to providing pro bono services to the community and is currently working on the post-conviction appeal of a man sentenced to death in the New Hampshire state courts.

Sackman earned his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and his BA from Tulane University. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Hampshire, and currently resides in Concord, New Hampshire with his family.
