Former news anchor Erin Ovalle launches new ME lifestyle television show
(March 29, 2016) PORTLAND, MAINE – ME residents interested in the stories that make ME vibrant and unique will now have a new option for learning about the state. Erin Ovalle, who has brought Mainers their morning news over the last 7 years as host of Good Day ME on FOX/WGME and most recently as morning news anchor on WMTW is back in front of the camera in April, but this time she’s taking the show on the road – literally.
Broadcast on Portland’s CBS affiliate WGME Channel 13, #MELife will bring Mainers compelling features every Saturday morning at 7:30. #MELife will also deliver its content online, reaching beyond ordinary television audiences. The show already has 3 episodes in production and has filmed on location in Portland, Lewiston and Carrabassett Valley.
“I spent a lot of my career covering the news of the day behind the desk but missing the personal stories and people actually shaping ME and our economy,” Ovalle said. “#MELife is not only taking on the personal and authentic stories of Mainers but we’re also engaging with new and existing audiences both on air and online, giving viewers the chance to engage on their terms.”
With broad content delivery spanning television, online and social media, Ovalle will feature compelling stories and be joined by dynamic guests to cover business, non-profits, the arts, dining, recreation, real estate and more.
