Bernstein Shur Welcomes Lindsay K. Zahradka to Bankruptcy Group

Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, announced the addition of Lindsay K. Zahradka to the firm’s Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group.

Her practice will focus on business restructuring and insolvency proceedings, including chapter 11 reorganizations, asset sales and acquisitions and bankruptcy-related litigation. She is based in the Portland, ME office.

Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Zahradka worked as an associate with Akin Gump in New York City, where she focused on financial restructuring matters. She advised borrowers, debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, lenders, and ad-hoc groups of bondholders in connection with pre-filing negotiations and chapter 11 proceedings.

Zahradka earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude, where she was an associate editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and externed with both the United States Attorney’s Office, E.D.N.Y. and for the Honorable Marcy L. Kahn, New York Supreme Court. She earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Zahradka is admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She resides in Windham, ME with her husband.
