COVID-19: A Message from the CEO

As you all know and are experiencing, the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation is creating enormous disruption in our communities, in our country and around the world. We feel a solemn obligation to you, our friends and neighbors, to do our part to help combat the spread of Coronavirus while also working to ensure our legal team is available to help our clients to continue to conduct business while navigating this fluid situation.
Accordingly, effective March 16, Bernstein Shur has instructed its attorneys and staff in ME and New Hampshire to work remotely. We will work remotely until further notice, and we will continue to assess the evolving Coronavirus situation along with appropriate local, state, and federal guidance.
We have an outstanding IT and operations team that has fully prepared us for this move to remote work, ensuring that Bernstein Shur can seamlessly provide timely legal guidance during this difficult time. Our attorneys and staff are fully committed to meeting our clients’ needs as we navigate this crisis together, while living our values and ensuring the safety and health of our colleagues, clients and the community at large.
These are extraordinary circumstances that require thoughtful and careful actions. By practicing social distancing, we are following best practices recommended by local, state and federal authorities to minimize risk of exposure, with the goal of reducing both infection rates and the potential strain on our healthcare systems.
