Shareholder Christina Ferrari Receives Philip S. Hollman Award for Gender Equality
Manchester, NH and Portland and Augusta, ME (February 19, 2020) – Bernstein Shur is pleased to announce that the New Hampshire Bar Association will present Shareholder Christina Ferrari with the Philip S. Hollman Award for Gender Equality at its mid-year meeting on February 21. The Award is presented to nominees exhibiting dedication to promoting respect and fair treatment towards all members of the judicial system, and have served as a leader and role model in matters of gender equality.
“I am deeply honored to receive this year’s Philip S. Hollman Award, named after Judge Hollman in recognition of his important advocacy for gender equality in the legal system,” Ferrari said. “I look forward to continuing the discussion at this year’s Gender Equality Breakfast about how we can all work together to move the needle forward on gender equity in our profession, an issue of paramount importance.”
“Christina is an outstanding attorney and colleague”, said Jim Merrill, Managing Shareholder of Bernstein Shur’s New Hampshire office. “She has demonstrated tremendous leadership in the legal community through her passionate advocacy for gender equality. We’re proud to see her efforts recognized by the Hollman Award.”
Prior to entering law, Ferrari was a dedicated researcher in the fields of neurosurgery and neuropharmacology, and her work has been published in the Journal of Neuroscience. As a skilled litigator, Christina advocates for her clients at all levels and assists them in resolving complex disputes, including in the areas of products liability, toxic torts, health care, and professional licensing.
Ferrari is President of the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association, a member of the Manchester Business Council appointed by Mayor Craig and a member of the New Hampshire Tech Alliance’s BioMedTech Committee and Government Affairs Committee.
