Eli Leino Leads Zoning and Land Use Presentation at NH Real Estate Investors Association Meeting

Attorney Eli Leino recently spoke at a meeting of the New Hampshire Real Estate Investors Association (NHREIA), delivering a presentation focused on zoning, land use regulations, and recent legislative developments affecting real estate projects across the state. 

The program began with an overview of key zoning terms and foundational land use concepts, aimed at equipping attendees with a stronger understanding of the regulatory framework that governs property development. Eli then led a case study of the host property, a brewery, offering a practical analysis of how zoning considerations apply in real-world scenarios. 

He also discussed the municipal appeals process, highlighting the procedural steps and common challenges that property owners and developers face when local boards deny zoning relief. Attendees received insight into how legal counsel can support clients through these complex proceedings. 

Eli concluded the presentation with a review of the City of Manchester’s proposed new land use code and a summary of notable legislative changes, both pending and recently enacted, that may impact investors and developers throughout New Hampshire.
