Bob Keach Joins Expert Panel at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2023 International Insolvency & Restructuring Symposium

Bernstein Shur Shareholder Bob Keach will join an international panel of experienced bankruptcy professionals at the 2023 International Insolvency & Restructuring Symposium, an annual conference bringing together global leaders in bankruptcy, held in Lisbon, Portugal, on November 2 and 3.

In the “America Now!” session, Bob—co-chair of Bernstein Shur’s Business Restructuring and Insolvency practice and nationally-recognized and respected bankruptcy attorney—will discuss recent developments and trends in U.S. bankruptcy and restructuring alongside seasoned industry colleagues, including Nicholas D. Tally, Executive Vice President of Wilmington Trust; the Honorable Sean H. Lane, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York; and Albert J. Togut, founder and partner at Togut, Segal & Segal LLP. The session will be moderated by the Honorable Shelley C. Chapman, former United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York and Senior Counsel at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.  Bob will focus on nonconsensual third-party releases and the pending Purdue Pharma case before the Supreme Court, as well as other current topics.

At Bernstein Shur, Bob’s practice focuses on the representation of various parties in workouts and bankruptcy cases, including debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, lessors, and third parties acquiring troubled companies and/or their assets. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Past President of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI),   former co-chair of the ABI’s Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11, and recipient of the ABI’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
