Bernstein Shur Named to 2020 Best Places to Work in ME
Firm makes listings for 9th year in a row
Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH (October 15, 2020) Bernstein Shur is pleased to announce it has been named one of ME’s Best Places to Work. This marks the ninth consecutive time the firm has been included in the rankings.

The awards program was created in 2006 by the Society for Human Resource Management ME State Council (MESHRM) and the Best Companies Group. The statewide survey and awards program were designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in ME, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses. The list is made up of 84 companies in three size categories: small (15-49 U.S. employees), medium (50-249 U.S. employees) and large (250 + U.S. employees). To be considered for the list, companies must complete a comprehensive two-phase evaluation that includes examining policies, practices, and demographics, and conducting thorough, confidential employee surveys.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no formal awards ceremony this year to announce the rankings. Instead, the full list of rankings will be included in the October 19th edition of MEbiz.
