Bernstein Shur CEO Kaveri Subbarao Nauhaus was featured in a Mainebiz article highlighting lessons from influential women in honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.
The article, “Make an impact and other pearls of wisdom for Women’s History Month,” features reflections from leaders across Maine about the women who shaped their lives and careers.
Kaveri shared a meaningful lesson from her mother, who grew up in India and, despite being one of the top students in her class, was not allowed to continue past elementary school.
“She would often tell me that my mind is like a garden and that I’d have to nurture it with conviction and focus so that I could achieve everything I wanted,” Kaveri said, recalling time spent gardening together when she was young.
