Bernstein Shur Welcomes Attorney Elliot Kelly

Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH (March 18, 2021) – Bernstein Shur is pleased to welcome Elliot Kelly as an Associate to the firm’s Portland office.

Kelly joins the firm’s Business Law Practice Group where he will focus on regulatory issues impacting marketing and advertising regulations, including telemarketing, subscription services, email marketing, social media marketing, use of endorsements and testimonials, and general claims substantiation. Kelly will also expand his regulatory practice into related areas such as data privacy and cybersecurity.

Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Kelly was an Associate at Venable, LLP where he counseled clients in advertising and marketing regulatory matters, federal and state court litigation, government investigations, and NAD proceedings. He also served as a General Counsel Intern for StoneX, a global financial services network based in New York, NY and interned at King & Shaxson, a financial services company based in London, England.

Kelly earned an LL.M. in Taxation and a J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School as well as a B.A. from Notre Dame College. He is licensed to practice in the states of ME, New York and the Southern District of New York.
