Great opportunity to work in beautiful downtown Portland, ME. The receptionist for Bernstein Shur holds a significant position as the primary point of contact for our firm. As the introductory representative and office liaison, it is crucial for this position to provide an exceptional first impression. As such, the receptionist’s central responsibility is to ensure that each and every client or guest receives the highest level of attention and maintains a consistent quality of service across all interactions throughout the day. All other duties assigned to the receptionist are secondary and may be performed as time and circumstances permit. The receptionist will serve as backup for other team members and share responsibilities with others, and will work under the supervision of and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Human Resources. The specific duties and division of responsibilities are reviewed from time to time and appropriate adjustments are made to the job description based on the interest and abilities of the person(s) in that position and the needs of the firm.
The ideal candidate should be intelligent, hard-working, well-groomed, with a genuine commitment to customer service and a strong attention to detail. They should also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure as well as part of a collective team, must be professional, flexible and exercise good judgment.
Interested candidates should be knowledgeable, energetic, and eager to learn and to put their experience to work immediately. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and 2+ years of experience as a receptionist or customer service position. Candidates must enjoy working in a large group setting.
