Bernstein Shur, a New England-based law firm that advises clients across the U.S. and around the world, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to work in its Manchester, New Hampshire office.


The Real Estate Paralegal will support, manage, and facilitate the needs of a busy team of award-winning legal professionals. The successful candidate should be a resourceful and technically proficient team player who is able to manage day-to-day paralegal and administrative needs effectively in a fast-paced, yet uniquely positive office culture. The firm’s paralegals are proactive leaders who have exceptional organizational skills, demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, and exercise the utmost discretion.


  • Prepare legal descriptions and title insurance commitments, correspondence, memoranda, and project work in the daily production of legal documents
  • Research registries for real estate background and history
  • Conduct title searches and prepare title abstracts
  • Obtain real estate tax information
  • Draft closing documents and create closing binders
  • Edit and finalize documents and distributes to clients, attorneys, and staff
  • Proofread and redline documents, correspondence, and memoranda to ensure accuracy of copy, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
  • Maintain calendar of closing deadlines and meetings
  • Coordinate conference calls, Zoom meetings, interoffice and outside and meetings
  • Perform a variety of paralegal functions, including opening of new matters, conflict checks, proforma and billing activities
  • Quickly identify, prioritize, and resolve problems of a varying nature with minimal direction provided
  • Flexibility to assist with and work on a wide variety of assignments and projects
  • Work closely and effectively with assigned professionals to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, schedule changes, and preparation needed for meetings, following up appropriately and anticipating needs
  • Update and enter client information in Interaction client / marketing software

  • Superior people/interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, positive can-do attitude and polished professional demeanor; a healthy sense of humor will be considered a plus. Tenacious in meeting deadlines with a strong sense of timeliness, decision-making, and good self-management discipline
  • Technologically savvy; highly proficient, expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365; ability to work effectively within the firm’s document management, real estate and billing applications
  • Keen ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and with firm’s clients
  • Work discretely with confidential information
  • Must be proactive, accountable and have excellent judgment
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment while making very few errors
  • Must be adaptable to change and remain calm under pressure
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in real estate and commercial law
  • Paralegal Certificate
