POSITION OVERVIEW

The HR Coordinator will work directly with the Chief People Officer and Human Resources Manager, providing support to manage and facilitate human resource needs and processes of a dynamic law office. The HR Coordinator will be a proactive and resourceful team player required to “roll up their sleeves” to manage day-to-day needs effectively in a fast paced, yet uniquely positive office culture. This position will support the full range of Human Resources functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Effective and efficient execution of HR processes and programs
  • Support and solve for needs of the employees of the firm
  • Assist with the operational team (non-attorney) recruitment process including screening, scheduling of interviews, follow-up communications, verification of work histories, references, and background checks
  • Assist in onboarding new employees into the Bernstein Shur culture
  • Assist with firm wide events, including but not limited to employee engagement planning and execution
  • Support the CPO and the HR department global needs, not limited to but including general correspondences and reconciliations for the HR department
  • Maintain schedule and support executive assistant needs of the Chief People Officer.
  • Maintenance of Policies and Procedures as directed
  • Contribute to the creation and establishment of the new HRIS system
  • Perform other duties as assigned

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
  • At least 2 years of experience in a role with relevant similarities
  • Experience with high level professional services and administrative support employees strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in managing Outlook calendars for multiple people/teams
  • Willing to support recruiting efforts as directed
  • SHRM certification or equivalent strongly preferred, required within 2 years of hire
  • Future hybrid arrangement available upon approval, must start on site on a full-time basis
