Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.
To Zack, every challenge is an invitation. He has built a practice that matches his mindset – measured, thoughtful, and unpretentious but unrelenting in the pursuit of the best possible outcome for his clients.
Zack regularly represents tax assessors, municipalities, and private parties in tax abatement proceedings, litigation, and land use matters. He expertly guides developers through the maze of permitting and the litigation process, having litigated some of the largest property tax disputes in Maine. In addition, Zack represents large companies in complex commercial cases ranging from contract disputes to class action defense. He is tenacious with a cool demeanor—a unique disposition learned from a former life as a ski racer that manifests in his dogged but practical representation of his clients.
Zack also serves as bond counsel for numerous municipalities and non-profit organizations. He has helped clients issue over $150 million in tax-exempt bonds and advised issuers on intricate tax compliance issues long after their projects have been built.
In his former life, Zack was:
- A ski bum, obviously.
When Zack isn’t working, he is…
Playing rugby, camping, hiking, paddle boarding, and whenever and wherever possible, skiing.
