Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.
A seasoned corporate attorney and business strategist with deep experience in both private practice and in-house leadership, Jason combines substantial legal, financial, and operational expertise to help organizations navigate high-stakes challenges. As a JD and CPA who also holds an MBA, Jason offers a unique multidisciplinary perspective on complex transactions, business structuring, and regulatory compliance for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. He brings a results-driven, pragmatic approach, guiding businesses through mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, along with counseling on day-to-day corporate governance matters. Jason always delivers strategic counsel that aligns legal considerations with business objectives, making him a go-to advisor in moments that matter most.
Before joining Bernstein Shur, Jason served as General Counsel for one of New Hampshire’s largest health systems, where he navigated high-stakes regulatory and transactional matters and led the system through the largest hospital merger in the state’s history. In this role, he worked closely with senior leadership, translating legal complexity into actionable strategies and driving organizational change. His experience managing crises—including regulatory scrutiny, whistleblower suits, and media-sensitive matters—has made him a trusted advisor in moments of uncertainty.
Prior to that, he spent a decade as a shareholder at a respected law firm, advising clients on corporate law, tax strategies, mergers and acquisitions, non-profit governance, and healthcare law.
Jason began his career in accounting before pursuing law—experience that continues to shape his practice. He leverages his financial acumen to offer clients holistic, results-driven counsel. Known for his ability to read the room and tailor his approach to different audiences, he understands the pressures executives face and provides steady, thoughtful guidance in complex situations. Whether leading organizations through transitions or mitigating high-stakes risks, he is a strategic partner who helps clients navigate their toughest moments with confidence.
In his former life, Jason was:
- General Counsel at one of New Hampshire’s largest health systems
- Auditor at Big 4 accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers
- Assistant International Controller at the State Street Corporation
