Executive Editor, Michigan Journal of Law Reform
Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.
Will is dedicated to using his legal practice to benefit members of the community. Will treats every case with the same dedication, attention and respect to further his clients’ goals—assessing needs, evaluating both legal and practical strategies, and communicating complex ideas. Will’s work ethic, commitment, and collaborative thinking keep him laser-focused on his client’s priorities and success.
Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, he worked for both the Michigan Innocence Clinic and the Michigan Civil Litigation Initiative, helping overturn wrongful convictions and combatting housing discrimination. Will has also worked in ME state politics, where he began as a political organizer and worked his way up to Finance Director at the ME Senate Democratic Campaign Committee. While serving as Finance Director, Will modernized the Committee’s fundraising efforts by targeting grassroots contributors, establishing an online fundraising program, and promoting local events, providing the Committee with the resources to target races across the State.
But that’s not all. Will is also experienced in:
- Breach of Contract claims at both the business and consumer level
- Real Estate Litigation, including boundary disputes, municipal land use regulations, and HOA litigation
- Animal Welfare Litigation
- Coalition building, fundraising, and grass roots campaign organization
In his former life, Will was:
- Field Organizer for ME Citizens for Clean Elections
- Brewery Tour Guide in Bar Harbor
- Hotel Employee at the Rustler Lodge at the Alta Ski Resort in Utah
When Will isn’t working, he is…
Skiing, camping, hiking, or canoeing with his wife, Kathleen. While indoors, Will enjoys playing board games with friends, watching movies, relaxing with his cat, or trying new bourbons and whiskeys.
