Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with them.
A member of Bernstein Shur’s Real Estate Practice Group, J is detail-oriented and reliable—someone who can be counted on. With an unconventional background as an artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, J naturally brings a creative perspective to problem solving with every project and has a unique appreciation for and knowledge of real estate.
Before pursuing their law degree, J spent a decade working in art academia in Brooklyn, New York, honing their poised, measured demeanor and administrative acumen. J was previously a Summer Associate at Bernstein Shur, and born and raised a Mainer, they bring an understanding of firm clientele and the unique Maine landscape to their work.
But that’s not all. J’s professional interests also include:
- Renewable energy development
In their former life, J was:
- A student attorney in the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic
- An intellectual property intern at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
- An arts and education administrator
- A trained silversmith and fiber artist
When J isn’t working, they are…
Participating in the art and film scene in Portland, learning to cook complex international dishes, or singing at a local karaoke bar.
