Meet Elliot, a detail-oriented business attorney with a love of football—the foot kind.
Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.
With a background in compliance and state and federal litigation, Elliot focuses on regulatory issues impacting marketing and advertising, including in the telecommunications and food and beverage space. He helps businesses and professionals understand the nuance and complexity surrounding these issues and mitigate risk, providing counsel on telemarketing, subscription services, email marketing, social media marketing, use of endorsements and testimonials, and general claims substantiation. He also represents companies in advertising challenges before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Better Business Bureau National Programs. Elliot helps make technical and strategic planning a more stress-free, easy-to-understand process that positions clients for success.
Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Elliot was an Associate at Venable, LLP where he counseled clients in advertising and marketing regulatory matters, federal and state court litigation, government investigations, and NAD proceedings. He also served as a General Counsel Intern for StoneX, a global financial services network based in New York, NY and interned at King & Shaxson, a financial services company based in London, England.
In his former life, Elliot was:
- An Associate at Venable, LLP
- General Counsel Intern for StoneX
- An intern at King & Shaxson, based in London
When Elliot isn’t working, he is…
Spending time in the great outdoors and cheering on his favorite English Premier League team Newcastle United, from afar.
