Jonathan Asen Joins Firm with Focus on Federal Government, Biden Administration
Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH (February 1, 2021) – Bernstein Shur is expanding its government relations and public affairs practice with the addition of Jonathan Asen, a seasoned political professional who joins the firm’s Portland office as Senior Project Manager.
“Jonathan has significant political and governmental experience in both ME and Washington, DC, and will help Bernstein Shur provide a new level of service to our clients at the federal level,” said Kate Knox, Chair of the Government and Public Affairs Practice Group. “Jonathan’s reputation, deep ties to the Obama and Biden administrations and long list of accomplishments will strengthen our already impressive government relations and public affairs team. Asen most recently served as the Coordinated Campaign Director for the ME Democratic Party and as the Chief of Staff to the ME Speaker of the House. Prior to returning to ME in 2015, Asen was the Chief of Staff for the Director of White House Legislative Affairs. Asen worked in the Obama White House for five years.
