Please join Bernstein Shur for our 2019 Spring Labor and Employment Seminar as we discuss recent labor and employment developments and focus on the latest issues. This year, we are doing things a bit differently with an afternoon seminar, followed by cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres, giving people a chance to mix and mingle!

Shiloh Theberge will speak about the ongoing and evolving challenges of complying with the laws relating to medical leaves and accommodations in the workplace, and will discuss strategies to effectively navigate these laws.

2:00 – 2:30 Social Media Overview
With ever-changing social networks, it’s challenging for employers to keep up! Tara Walker will review recent updates surrounding social media and best practices for dealing with conflicts in this area.

2:30 – 2:45 Break 

2:45 – 3:30 Legal Update Session 
In this session, Glenn Israel will provide a legal update on the most recent developments in federal and state law related to labor and employment, and what you need to know.

3:30 – 4:15 The Good, the Bad and the Unbelievable: True Stories – and Lessons Learned – from the Workplace
Pete Herzog and Ann Freeman will walk you through some real life examples HR professionals face every day, and will provide insight and guidance in navigating thorny employment issues that often do not present an obvious solution.

4:15 – 4:30 Q&A Session
