Litigation shareholder Matthew Delude will co-present at the Rally 2023: The National Land Conservation Conference in Portland, Oregon on September 9. This annual event, which takes place September 6-9, 2023, brings together land conservation practitioners from around the world who are dedicated to conserving cherished places in our communities. It offers learning sessions focused on land conservation topics, networking events, exhibits, plenary sessions, and an awards presentation celebrating conservation leadership.

Matt will be joining Tom Kester of the Land Trust Alliance and Ray Lyons of the New England Forestry Foundation for their session, “To Litigate or Not to Litigate – When That is the Question.” As an experienced litigator, Matt will provide guidance alongside his panelists on what land trusts should think about when considering litigation; pros, cons, and alternatives to litigation (such as mediation); and how to minimize the likelihood that you’ll need to engage in litigation, among other questions.
