Jim Merrill, Bernstein Shur Managing Shareholder for New Hampshire, will join “Elections in the Age of AI: Navigating Misinformation and Disinformation and Restoring Trust,” a panel to be held on September 3, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.
Hosted by AARP New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, the discussion will explore the impact of AI on elections and political communications, strategies for combating misinformation and disinformation, and ways to strengthen public trust in the democratic process.
Jim has served in senior roles on five presidential campaigns during New Hampshire’s historic First in the Nation primaries, bringing years of experience in campaign management, political strategy, public affairs, and strategic communications to the conversation. He will be joined by New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan, former Congressman Charlie Bass, former Congressman and U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Dick Swett, New Hampshire Public Radio President and CEO Jim Schachter and Dartmouth Professor Brendan Nyhan.
