Portland
Kenny Laughton joined the firm as an associate in the Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group. Before joining Bernstein Shur, Kenny clerked for the Honorable Elizabeth N. Dewar at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and for the Honorable Kenneth V. Desmond at the Massachusetts Appeals Court. He earned his JD from Northeastern University School of Law and his BA in International Studies from American University.
Maggie Shields joined the Construction Law Team as an associate in the Portland office. Maggie brings valuable experience from her clerkships at both the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Portland, Maine. She earned her JD from the University of Maine School of Law in May 2024.
Emery Younger joined the Litigation Practice Group as an associate in the Portland office. Emery previously worked with the firm as a Summer Associate in 2024. He earned his JD from Boston College Law School in May 2025.
Manchester
Ben Chapman joined the Litigation Practice Group as an associate in the Manchester office. Most recently, Ben served as a Law Clerk to Chief Justice Gordon MacDonald at the New Hampshire Supreme Court and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. He earned his JD summa cum laude from UNH Law in May 2021 and is a Daniel Webster Scholar.
Gianna Fasoli joined the Business Law Practice Group as an associate in the firm’s Manchester office. Gianna previously served as a Legal Extern with Bernstein Shur and recently earned her JD from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law in May 2025, where she was recognized as a Daniel Webster Scholar.
