Bernstein Shur is pleased to announce that Dawn D. Dyer, a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in real estate, has joined the firm as Senior Counsel.

Dawn’s practice will focus on representing property owners, associations, and developers in complex real estate matters, including boundary and title disputes, land use conflicts, and subdivision and development issues. She also advises clients before local planning boards and zoning authorities and drafts key agreements such as easements, leases, and association bylaws.

In addition to her legal practice, Dawn has held leadership roles in both Maine and the US Virgin Islands, where she worked with nonprofit organizations and served on planning, school, and business boards. These experiences have strengthened her advocacy skills and reflect her belief in the law as a tool for strengthening communities.

“Dawn’s combination of deep real estate knowledge, broad litigation experience, practical reasoning, and strong community leadership makes her an exceptional advocate for developers and property owners,” said David Soley, Chair of the Real Estate Litigation Group. “Her extensive work in diverse jurisdictions gives her unique perspective and adaptability. She’s calm under pressure, collaborative, and committed to delivering results that exceed client goals.”

Dawn earned her JD from New England Law and her Bachelor of Science from Husson University. She is admitted to practice in the State of Maine, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the US District Court of the Virgin Islands.
