Bernstein Shur is pleased to announce the promotion of Amelia Pelletier to Director of Human Resources, effective August 10, 2026.
In her new role, Amelia will lead the firm’s Human Resources function, overseeing initiatives that support Bernstein Shur’s attorneys, consultants, and operations professionals while helping advance the firm’s strategic talent and culture priorities in partnership with Kaveri Subbarao Nauhaus, firm CEO. She will also serve as a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team.
Amelia has been an impactful and respected member of the Human Resources team at Bernstein Shur for nearly four years, gaining experience across every facet of the employee lifecycle and developing a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to attract, develop, engage, and retain exceptional talent. Her leadership of the firm’s educational and professional growth programs, along with firmwide initiatives such as the annual Day of Service, reflects her ability to pair long-term vision with thoughtful execution. A strong advocate for continuous learning, Amelia has consistently invested in her own professional growth while creating opportunities for others to advance, develop their skills, and build meaningful careers at Bernstein Shur.
“Amelia has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a deep commitment to our firm,” said Kaveri. “Her experience, institutional knowledge, and dedication to our people make her well-suited to lead our Human Resources team. We are elated with the opportunity to invest in Amelia’s future, and that of Bernstein Shur, by supporting and advancing her professional path and promoting a person who embodies the spirit of our values as we continue to grow.”
Before joining Bernstein Shur, Amelia held human resources and leadership roles at The Morrison Center and 3Rivers, building a strong foundation in employee relations, talent development, and people leadership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and Human Services, a Human Resources Management certificate from the University of Maine at Augusta, and is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). She is also Vice President of Programming for the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine, where she supports professional development and engagement within the local HR community. Amelia is committed to continuous learning and professional growth and brings deep institutional knowledge, thoughtful leadership, and a collaborative, people-first approach to fostering an engaging workplace culture.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow with Bernstein Shur and step into this new role. It’s a privilege to work alongside colleagues who make a meaningful impact every day, and I’m excited to continue supporting our people and fostering an environment where everyone can thrive,” said Amelia.
Amelia succeeds Ali Worster, who is departing the firm after serving as Chief People Officer. Bernstein Shur thanks Ali for her many contributions to the firm and wishes her continued success.
