Three Bernstein Shur attorneys will present at the Maine State Bar Association Summer Conference, taking place June 24–26 at the Samoset Resort in Rockport. The annual conference brings together attorneys from across Maine for continuing legal education, professional development, and networking opportunities.
On Thursday, June 25, David Soley will present “The Magic of Opening Statements,” a session focused on the role of storytelling in trial advocacy. Attendees will learn strategies for crafting compelling opening statements and making strong first impressions in civil cases.
On Friday, June 26, Anne-Marie Storey and Paige Eggleston will co-present “Harassment, Discrimination, & Bullying: Impacts for Lawyers & Legal Practice.” The session will examine Maine’s mandatory harassment and discrimination education requirements while exploring the application of Rule 8.4 (an attorney ethics rule), workplace conduct issues, best practices for prevention and response, and the implementation of effective workplace policies.
David, Anne-Marie, and Paige are among the many legal professionals contributing their knowledge and experience to this year’s conference program, helping attorneys stay informed on developments and best practices across the profession.
