Bernstein Shur Senior Counsel Anne-Marie Storey will be the featured presenter at the Human Resources Association of Eastern Maine’s (HRAEM) Annual Legal Update, taking place December 18 in Bangor.
Anne-Marie will provide attendees with timely updates on new and pending employment laws impacting Maine employers, including the Minimum Pay for Reporting to Work Act, recent changes to earned paid leave (EPL), and developments in paid family and medical leave (PFML). Her presentation will also cover updates to unpaid Family and Medical Leave Act requirements, workplace surveillance considerations, and recent guidance from the EEOC, including issues related to national origin discrimination.
The Human Resources Association of Eastern Maine is comprised of approximately 85 HR professionals from across Eastern Maine and the Greater Bangor area. HRAEM’s monthly meetings provide education, networking, and professional development opportunities focused on advancing best practices in human resources.
