Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers: New England
  • Rated BV Distinguished by Martindale-Hubbell
  • Inducted into the Maine Central Institute Hall of Fame, 2008

Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.

A civil trial lawyer who fights until the end, Mike has a sharp eye for detail, absorbing the minutiae of each case before advising his clients on the best course of action. With a focus in disputes arising from construction projects, he can see you through claims or contract negotiations, and many other difficult business disputes, with dedication, determination, and frank practicality.

Mike’s also a trained mediator, and has served as a neutral party in numerous disputes. In his general litigation background, he’s handled real estate disputes, personal injury and property damage claims, numerous contract disputes, and other suits and appeals for towns and governmental entities. And while he enjoys the battle of litigation and the chance to resolve conflicts, his favorite part of the job is gaining an in-depth understanding of what his clients do—and helping them get back to doing it successfully.

But that’s not all. Mike is also very experienced in:

  • Defective product and product warranty cases
  • Conflicts that arise when dissolving a business or partnership
  • Real estate disputes and partition actions
  • Enforcing non-compete agreements
  • Advising towns and property owners on land use and zoning issues
  • Rule 80B and Rule 80C appeals to the Maine Superior Court, with several matters decided in the Law Court

In his former life, Mike was:

  • A litigation associate at Rudman Winchell
  • An associate at Doyle & Nelson

When Mike isn’t working, he is…

Serving on the board of trustees for Maine Central Institute and Sebasticook Valley Health, golfing, or coaching his daughters in youth basketball.
