Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.

Jack Montgomery is a litigator and dispute resolution lawyer specializing in complex cases. Having become well-acquainted with the pros and cons of the litigation process during his time as a prosecutor and civil litigator, Jack uses vigorous negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes and prevent unnecessary trials for his clients. Because Jack focuses on the energy sector, much of his practice has been devoted to helping power plant owners work out issues with suppliers, manufacturers, insurers, and the like.

Additionally, Jack has more than 20 years of experience in insurance and is the former chair of the Maine Bar Association’s Insurance Section. Given his in-depth knowledge of the industry and skill at resolving tough cases, he’s exactly who you want on your side if an insurance company denies your claim.

But that’s not all. Jack is also very experienced in:

  • Disputing claims across New England, the Caribbean, and Asia
  • Helping policyholders obtain coverage where it was previously denied by the insurance company
  • Public speaking engagements about insurance issues
  • Assisting asylum seekers in federal immigration court

In his former life, Jack was:

  • A partner at another law firm
  • Assistant district attorney

When Jack isn’t working, he is…

Pursuing his other passion: photography. Jack’s fine arts photography is part of the permanent collection of the Portland Museum of Art, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the Art Gallery of the University of New England, the Maine Jewish Museum and the Holocaust Human Rights Center in Augusta. He’s a former board member of the Maine Media Workshops and the Institute for Doctoral Studies in Visual Arts.
