Susan Duprey Appointed to Judicial Selection Commission

Susan V. Duprey

Prominent attorney will advise Governor Chris Sununu on judicial candidates

MANCHESTER, NH — April. 12, 2017 — Bernstein Shur attorney Susan Duprey has been appointed by New Hampshire governor Chris Sununu to the state’s Judicial Selection Commission.

The Commission is composed of leaders with a wide range of experience in New Hampshire’s justice system. The important role of the Commission is to broadly seek judicial candidates, evaluate all potential applicants and recommend qualified applicants to the governor based on their experience, good character and judicial temperament.

One of the first 100 female members of the New Hampshire Bar, and the first female managing partner of a major New Hampshire law firm, Susan Duprey is widely regarded as one of the top real estate and land use lawyers in New Hampshire, and has been recognized by Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America annually since 2007. She has spent her 35-year career representing a wide array of clients in sophisticated land use matters, helping them to navigate challenging legal issues and securing local, state and federal approvals.

Duprey has also nurtured deep ties in the business and political communities. She has been recognized by multiple publications as one of New Hampshire’s top business leaders, and in 2011-2012, Duprey served as Chief of Staff to Ann Romney during the Romney for President Campaign.

“I’m honored to serve the state of New Hampshire in this capacity, and look forward to working with the Governor and my peers to strengthen our state’s courts, while continuing to serve as counsel at Bernstein Shur.” said Duprey.
