Bernstein Shur Welcomes Shareholder Chad W. Higgins

Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH (February 16, 2018) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, welcomes Chad W. Higgins as a shareholder to the firm’s Portland, ME office.

Higgins joins the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group where his practice will focus on a variety of litigation matters, including products liability, energy, higher education, and commercial and contract disputes, among others. Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Higgins served as counsel at Goodwin Procter in Boston, Massachusetts where he practiced at every stage of state and federal litigation matters, including products liability, mass and toxic torts, environmental exposure, consumer financial services, shareholder disputes, civil and criminal pharmaceutical investigations, and employment matters. Higgins currently serves as Chair of the Alumni Council of Colby College and was previously on the Board of Directors for the ME Children’s Alliance.

Higgins earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Colby College. He is admitted to practice in the state of ME, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. Higgins is a member of the American Bar Association, the ME State Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar Association and resides in Yarmouth, ME with his family.
