Portland, Maine, October 25, 2010 – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, today announced that six of their attorneys have been selected by Best Lawyers as 2011 “Lawyers of the Year” for their practice specialty and location.
Best Lawyers, a peer-review publication for the legal profession, has designated “Lawyers of the Year” for major attorney specialties in large legal communities. Only one lawyer in each specialty and community has been honored as “Lawyer of the Year.”
Five Bernstein Shur attorneys were chosen as 2011 Lawyers of the Year for Portland, Maine, an honor shared by a total of only 28 attorneys for that city and state. They include: Robert J. Keach for Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law, Kenneth W. Lehman for Administrative Law, Peter J. Rubin for Mass Tort Litigation, Nathan H. Smith for Real Estate Law and Christopher L. Vaniotis for Land Use & Zoning Law.
Bernstein Shur attorney Andrea K. Johnstone has been named Lawyer of the Year for Labor and Employment Law in Manchester, NH, one of only 10 attorneys named 2011 Lawyer of the Year for Manchester.
