Josh Silver

Josh Silver

Josh Silver, shareholder and member of Bernstein Shur’s Business Law and Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Groups, as well as co-chair of the Data Security Team, recently spoke at the American Bankers Association Risk Management Forum in St. Louis. His presentation, “Cyber Governance: Managing the New Risks,” drew representatives of both large and small banks from all over the country.

Addressing bank cyber governance programs from a lifecycle perspective, Silver covered risk mitigation in vendor and outsourcing transactions, including how to reduce vendor information security risk through contracting and monitoring. His co-presenter, Camden National Bank’s Senior Information and Corporate Security Officer, David Ackley, explained the internal procedures banks should follow to minimize cyber security risk.

The ABA Risk Management Forum is designed to teach new technologies and leading practices for managing risk and enhance how bankers identify and monitor evolving threats. The conference offers opportunities to view the latest products, services and technologies with industry suppliers.
