Firm leads in first-tier rankings for combined areas of Portland and Augusta, Maine
Portland, Maine, September 15, 2010 – Bernstein Shur is proud to announce its recognition in the first annual 2010 “Best Law Firms” ranking by Best Lawyers and U.S. News Media Group. The firm achieved Tier-One rankings in 33 metropolitan-area practice categories for its locations in Portland and Augusta, Maine and in Manchester, NH.
Bernstein Shur earned more Tier-One rankings than any other firm in the combined metropolitan areas of Portland and Augusta, Maine.
The rankings were based on surveys from 9,514 clients and 8,842 lawyers nationwide who were asked to rate the law firms they considered best in their practice areas. Survey responses were combined with more than 3.1 million evaluations of attorneys used in the most recent Best Lawyers survey of leading lawyers. Hard numbers were used to develop the practice area rankings — including data about numbers of lawyers and their previous experience, numbers of clients and transactions; pro-bono commitment, diversity, and other objective data.
