Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, has been selected as one of 40 Best Places to Work in Maine and is the only law firm in Maine to be honored with that designation.
The Best Places to Work in Maine program is a statewide survey and awards initiative that recognizes companies that have consistently fostered outstanding workplace environments. Now in its fifth year, the program is endorsed by the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, the Maine State Council and the Maine Society for Human Resource Management.
Companies throughout the state entered a two-part process administered by Best Companies Group (BCG) in Harrisburg, PA to be considered for this honor. The assessment process evaluates employee survey responses as well as employee policies and procedures. The resulting data collected enables BCG analysts to determine the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies.

The list and ranking of 40 Best Places to Work in Maine will be formally announced at an awards gala on October 12.
