Bernstein Shur’s Andru Volinsky Receives “Civil Justice” Award
June 27, 2008

MANCHESTER, NH – Bernstein Shur’s Andru Volinsky received the New Hampshire Association for Justice’s “Civil Justice” award for his work on the Claremont School Funding case.

The award was presented last night at the association’s annual meeting by the association’s president, Chris Seufert. The award was given also to Thomas Connair of Leahy & Denault in Claremont, NH; John Tobin, the executive director of New Hampshire Legal Assistance; and Scott Johnson of Warner, NH; who worked with Volinsky on the school funding litigation.

“In most cases, the award has been given to teams of attorneys who have worked together on landmark cases that have made a real difference in the lives of NH citizens,” said Seufert. “That tradition continues this year as we honor a team of attorneys who have worked for over a decade to assure recognition and protection of the rights of children across our state.”

“We’re immensely proud of Andy and his efforts on behalf of New Hampshire’s school children,” said Charles Miller, managing shareholder at Bernstein Shur.

The New Hampshire Association for Justice (NHAJ) is a membership based advocacy organization working to promote the highest standards of legal practice and to protect the integrity of the judicial system, in the name of justice for all.  NHAJ is located in Concord, New Hampshire.
