Ben McCall wins 2015 Shur-Frinsko Award for Municipal Law and Local Governance

The University Of ME School Of Law has announced that second-year student Ben McCall is the winner of the 2015 Shur-Frinsko Award for Municipal Law and Local Governance. McCall will also work as a summer associate this year at Bernstein Shur.

The award goes annually to a ME Law student who has demonstrated academic excellence and accomplishment in the area or municipal law, land use or local governance, with commitment to and capacity for further contribution to the field. It was established in 2005 with support from Bernstein Shur, the family of the late Barnett I. Shur and the Nelson & Small corporate family. The award honors Barnett I. Shur and F. Paul Frinsko, in recognition of their achievement in the practice of law and their leadership in municipal law.
