Bernstein Shur’s Manchester office has expanded its real estate practice with the addition of attorney Carol Willoughby.
Carol will focus her practice on commercial real estate transactions and litigating real estate and title insurance matters.
Before joining Bernstein Shur, Carol served as New Hampshire State Counsel and Vice President for First American Title Company in Concord, where she oversaw all NH claims resolution and litigation and advised over 300 agents on all matters of NH real estate law and federal compliance.
She was previously a partner at McNicholas and Willoughby, also in Concord, and she served as clerk to Hon. Rudolph Kass of the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
“Carol’s experience and skill are valuable additions to our real estate practice, currently anchored by Roy Tilsley” said Andru Volinsky, who manages the firm’s Manchester office. “Her expertise in title insurance and complex real estate transactions and litigation enhance the depth of resources available to our clients. We’re proud to have her join our team.”
“The growth of our Manchester office, both in size and in stature, is a testament to the attorneys and the staff there,” said Charles E. Miller, the firm’s managing shareholder. “With the addition of Carol, we’ve increased our ability to serve our real estate clients throughout northern New England.
Carol is admitted to practice in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She is a 1995 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law at Carbondale, and a 1983 graduate of Rivier College in Nashua.
