Marketing Specialist

The Bernstein Shur marketing and business development department supports the firm’s strategic plan and 100+ lawyers across three locations.

We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join the department as a marketing specialist. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a business services or law environment. Our days are busy and ever-changing. The marketing specialist responsibilities will compilation and creation of marketing communications materials for internal and external audiences, including: newsletters, proposals, attorney bios, practice group descriptions, event materials, presentations, brochures, client discussion documents and website updates. The specialist will be an integral part of the firm’s database management efforts.

Desired Skills & Qualities

  • Excellent written and verbal communications are a must. Knowledge of AP Style.
  • Successful candidate will thrive in a high-performance culture that changes quickly and can be demanding.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain strong relationships across the firm.
  • Comfortable working in both old-media and new-media worlds.
  • Knowledge of HTML
  • Experience effectively managing marketing projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to collaborate with a small and energetic team & willingness to learn about complex legal and business issues
  • Passionate about protecting brand standards and ensuring a high-quality look/feel/tone for all firm materials
  • Marketing specialist will share CRM database management responsibilities (training provided). Previous database management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with internal web editing program preferred.
  • Experience with event management and logistics – from building presentations to on-site event coverage.
  • Understanding of graphic applications including Photoshop and InDesign
  • Competency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required. A skills’ assessment will be administered prior to hiring.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Legal Assistants

This is a highly visible and responsible position reporting to two or more attorneys in specific practice areas. Bernstein Shur’s legal assistants are an integral part of the team and are critical to the success and profitability of the firm.

Must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Superior organization and communication skills, along with flexibility, are the keys to success in this position. This position requires knowledge of the law, administrative capabilities, and top notch client service skills. Two years of experience (including Word and Excel skills) are required.
