Attorneys | Attorney – Tax (Portland, ME or Manchester, NH)

Bernstein Shur seeks an experienced full-time corporate and transactional tax attorney to join its expanding Tax, Trusts and Estates Law Practice Group in Portland, Maine or Manchester, New Hampshire. Bernstein Shur offers sophisticated representation in a wide variety of areas with more than 100 attorneys conducting a nationwide practice from our offices in Portland and Augusta, Maine; and Manchester, New Hampshire.

The ideal candidate should possess a portable book of business and 8+ years of significant experience in tax law, in a private law firm, accounting firm, or tax consulting firm setting with practice experience, excellent legal and academic credentials, and excellent writing skills. The ideal candidate will also possess a superior knowledge of the tax laws concerning business formation and termination; reorganizations; mergers and acquisitions; tax-free exchanges; tax planning for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, corporations and non-profit entities; and business succession planning. Maine or New Hampshire Bar membership required.  LL.M. in taxation or MST in tax accounting preferred.
