MANCHESTER, N.H. –Bernstein Shur, a leading multi-service law firm with offices in Maine and New Hampshire, announced today that Sean Leonard has joined the firm. Leonard’s practice will focus on areas of federal and state tax law, including business transactions, real estate, and renewable energy.
Leonard, who joins Bernstein Shur from the Boston office of Holland & Knight, has represented numerous clients from start-ups to publicly traded corporations on matters of tax credits, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity and various other areas.
While serving as the U.S. General Counsel for the management consulting division of a publicly-traded British media company, Leonard advised the company on mergers and acquisitions, federal securities laws, employment issues, litigation, and management of its intellectual property portfolio.

Leonard received his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and a B.S. from Springfield College. He is based in Bernstein Shur’s Manchester, N.H. office. Leonard is not yet admitted to the New Hampshire Bar, but is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
