Firm continues to expand its Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group.
Portland, Maine--Halliday Moncure has joined Bernstein Shur as an associate in the Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group.
Moncure’s practice will focus on representing restructuring businesses, creditors, and acquirors of distressed businesses and their assets both inside and outside bankruptcy, as well as related litigation.
“We are very excited to have Halliday as the newest member of the Business Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group,” said Jay Geller, the group’s co-chair. “Halliday’s experience in complex commercial litigation will complement our thriving business restructuring and insolvency practice.”
Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Moncure lived in Richmond, Virginia and was a commercial litigator with DurretteBradshaw, PLC. Prior to joining DurretteBradshaw, Moncure served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dennis W. Dohnal, a magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
A native and resident of Harpswell, Maine, Moncure received her JD, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law, and her BA, magna cum laude, from Wheaton College.
Moncure is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice before all federal courts in the Fourth Circuit, as well as the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. She will sit for the Maine bar examination in July 2009.
