Jonathan Cohen, an experienced New Hampshire trial attorney, has joined Bernstein Shur in Manchester as part of the firm’s steady expansion in New Hampshire.
Cohen, a member of Bernstein Shur’s Litigation Practice Group, will focus his practice on employment matters, real estate litigation, and white-collar defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Cohen worked at Sisti Law Offices in Concord, where he handled numerous trials and argued cases at all levels, including the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He also has served as an adjunct law professor at Franklin Piece College, teaching courses in civil and criminal law.
Cohen, who began his law career as a New Hampshire Public Defender, is a member of the NH Bar Association and the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NHACDL).
“Jonathan is a skilled trial attorney who adds another layer of expertise and depth to our New Hampshire team,” said Andru Volinsky, a shareholder who manages Bernstein Shur’s Manchester office. “We are building quite a formidable practice here in Manchester, all to the benefit of our clients throughout the state.”
A Concord resident, Cohen received his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 1999, and graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 1996 with bachelor’s in English and philosophy. He is a native of Northfield, Massachusetts.
Cohen serves on the Board of Directors of Red River Theater and is a member of the Concord Community Players.
